lots of events....

So it's been....three weeks....? I don't know. It has def been a while since I have blogged.  But.  A lot of sweet things have been happening.  first one?  I received my first apple as a teacher! And of course I took a pic of it.

Nice, right?  I thought so too.

Now. On to the next event. My birthday!  Yes, I have turned another year older, making me 22. It was a sweet birthday.  First of all, I totally had school off, which in and of itself is always amazing.  The new guy I'm slightly dating asked if he could take me to dinner, which of course I said yes, so we went to dinner.

ps. this boy's name is Tyler.  Anyway, So after he took me out, then we went out to my brother and sister n law's house for cake and ice cream, as soon as I opened the door, trinity tackled me to the ground and held me there while Justin grabbed his wooden spoon and spanked me 22 times...They are so sweet. After that shantel surprised me with flowers and a card, trinity and kendra gave me some shirts and some hair stuff in a cute Easter basket and then Mylah presented me with her painting for me.  SO cute.  She was explaining it to me, and then said, "well...I think I might keep it and you can get it next time."  But her mom told her that she probably needed to give it to me because it is my birthday.  Here are the pics of the flowers, the Easter basket and Mylah's picture she painted.

I def love my family.  By far the greatest humans to ever live.
So after having cake and ice cream, we decided to go bowling. I love to bowl.  I think it is so fun.  So my siblings and I went bowling with some friends.  I forgot socks when we arrived at the bowling ally.  And what did I do?  I bought some. out of the vending machine!  Who woulda thought, right?

The Socks.

Me and my sis

So Trinity was the very top score. Look at him having five strikes in a row!  Amazing.

When I came home then I found some brownies and a sign on my bed!  I have the greatest friends.

Anyway, stellar bday.

Now onto other events.  So my friend Kendra is in this class up here and had to make a flapper dress out of newspaper and get someone to model it in a fashion show.  it was a sweet dress!  here it is.

When we went out of the building after the fashion show to go home, this is what it looked like.  It was so cold.  I was in flip flops and shorts...not the greatest outfit for this weather...

Now, onto other events...Tyler's roommate's old mission companion invited us to go to his cabin/barn thing for the weekend to go four wheeling and camping.  So I invited my roommate and her boy to come along with us!  It was large amounts of fun.  Here are some pics of it!
We went shooting....

And four-wheeling....

And chilled....This is my roommate Alisa

Alisa and her boy Casey

Me and my boy, Tyler

Tyler gave Alisa and me the back of the truck to sleep in and as we got our beds situated, casey and tyler climbed in with us.  we were like sardines...super squished.
It was honestly super fun.  Everyone was watching a flick, but the four of us didn't feel like it so we decided to go outside and play a little football. It was way fun.

Also important events include my roommate Kristy and her art show!  Tyler, my old roommate sam and her baby boy and I went to go and support her. Tyler just has to be in every pic...

Also in this pic, you can see some of my blue jacket!  I dyed this.  It was kinda a nasty white, so I changed it. I also dyed some five dollar canvas walmart shoes.  they are Legit.  seriously.  Here are the shoes.

Sweet. Right?  I love them.

Well, that is all I have.  This was a solid update. goodbye.

The weekend of Hinduism and Ice Cream

This weekend was a great weekend, me and my buddy Rachelle finally made it to Festival of Colors.  Every year we plan on going and every year one of us bails.....So going this year was a great accomplishment!  I had a blast. there were so many dumb people there though.  There was this sweet black guy singing and every song had the words "hada rama hada krista"  it was amazing.  One of the Hindu peeps gave a speech about how we only need love and that is all!  And then we threw chalk.  It was seriously intoxicating. by the end of the day, I was covered.  I saw a lot of people there that I knew, which was sweet.  I met up with my brother and some of his friends too. My hair thickness grew two times because of the chalk and when I blew my nose everything was purple.  Nice, right?  As soon as I got back to Rachelle's I showered all the nasty stuff off. I just mostly think it was funny to see so many people throughout the day that were still covered in chalk, I guess if you're cool you leave it on so people see how neat you are.  Guess I didn't get the memo. And even if I did?  lets be honest. showering is still the best way to go.  Well, of course pics need to go with the event!  So here you go all my little blog stalkers (don't worry, I'm right there with you probably looking at your blog without you knowing either.) Here we go. lots of photos.

Now onto the rest of the night?  Rachelle's lovely boy Matt made the best decision of his life (and yes that trumps the mission decision).  He bought the neatest blender.  This blender will make hot soup, shakes, dips, peanut butter, and even ice cream, yes ice cream in two minutes flat.  We had this amazing taco soup and then later we made spinich ice cream.  It was amazing.  It sounds so gross.  But seriously...amazing.  My mind is honestly still so boggled.  I love that boy for buying that blender.

Ready to Blend!

Blending....Blending....

Spring Break

Well I'm not like some kids who'll spend loads of bones and go to vegas or on a cruise or to other places in this world, every year for college I come home and see my family.  Seriously I love my family, and I know that each of you think that you have the best family...well I have some harsh news for all of you.  Because my family is by far the best.  Why else would I want to come down to good ol' So. Utah every spring break.  This weather has been absolutely phenom.  seriously.  Granted I haven't done loads, I'm still re cooperating and whining about me being sick.

My roommate came down to see me, what a sweetheart. Kristy.  My family of course showed her a good time. Cutting down trees, family dinners, cookouts, ambush (Explanation later), and then of course I had to show her Kolob yesterday.  Kolob is honestly the greatest place in this world.  I love it.  We drove up to our cabin gate and parked to look around. and then I looked at how deep the snow was and I had the great idea that we, Kristy, Shantel, and myself should hike into my cabin so I could show my roommate my cabin and the scenery.  The scenery is amazing.  Anyhow, so we walked the mile into our cabin.  In very deep snow.  Needless to say, I am so wiped out from this extravaganza.  Probably not the smartest thing to do right after Mono.  Here are a couple pics from the hike in.

And then after the hike we, of course, had to show the infamous spillway.  Which by the way has so much graffiti and f words and vulgar pictures.  I was completely shocked!  I haven't been up there in...well I guess since high school, senior year.

So after we died hiking into my cabin, we had a sweet hot dog/mallow roast in my back yard.  Don't you just love htown? And how we can start summer things in March?!  It was a tad chilly.  But it was still awesome.  After the dinner we decided to play ambush.  Have any of you heard of this game?  no. because Lucas and Heather made it up. And then talked all of us into playing it one day, and needless to say, we all love it.  This game involves guns, saying "bang bang you're dead!", snipers, stealth, and pure adventure.

There are two teams.  Trinity and Jake (when he was home and not on the mission--so Lucas took his spot) against everyone else.  Their job is to take over a checkpoint.  Which is usually a rake standing up against a bench.  They start on one side of the house and move around to the checkpoint while we (everyone else) would hide out either in bushes, trees, lay in the grass, wherever we can without being seen.  Then we wait until we see Lucas or Trinity sneaking around and then we point our play guy and yell "Bang! Bang! Trinity (or whoever you are shooting at) you're dead!"  And then they have to go all the way back to where they started.  They can also shoot us if they see us.  So...I can tell that you are all quite jealous that you have never been invited to play this game with us. or have ever heard of it.  Well.  we are thinking about having tryouts to recruit more players.  not really.  Mostly cause it would be crazy lots of people trying out.

You may think this sounds like a way dumb game, i also thought it sounded pretty dumb as well when I first heard it.  But honestly, this is the funnest game.

Anyhow, I start school soon, I'm excited to start...mostly just to finish.  I honestly am so antsy to graduate...It couldn't come soon enough.  But then graduating may make me feel like I'm getting old. But oh well.  I'm SO ready to have my own classroom. and mold those little minds.
Alright. I feel as if I have written above and beyond.  so see ya.

Spring is here.

There are several things that I love about spring.

1. The snow is actually going to be gone soon.

2. I can start wearing shorts without freezing.

3. I love baby animals.

4. Baseball/Softball.

Summer went to her softball tryouts.  Spring is here.  And friends in Logan on the USU Baseball team have already started playing games.

I love breaking out the sunglasses, shorts, and sunflower seeds.  The atmosphere of a baseball game is exhilarating.  And the boys just look SO good in their uniforms. Mmmm....Hmmm......

I get to watch my first softball game next week, and my first baseball game in two weeks.  or maybe three?  I don't know, but I'm excited. Nevertheless.

So I felt like posting a pic of me during my senior year of softball, we won 2nd in state!  Some of you may mock me because I'm proud of this.  But if any of you know the HHS Softball team?  You know how come I have so much pride in this trophy.

Update on the sickee

Well, I'm feeling better.  I still lay on the couch all day long, but I can get up and actually do stuff!  What the heck.  this knocked me on my butt.  I'm at least starting to not look as yellow!  and my eyes don't water when I put in my contacts anymore.  I would update on the rest of my life....but....I literally have been sitting on the couch this entire week.  I'm super anxious to get back up to school.  The sooner I start, the sooner I finish.  Just as soon as I feel well enough, ....and...can get the doctor's go ahead to get back into life!  see you soon Logan.  I know you've missed me.

Bad news.

Well normally all of you avid blog readers would be reading this post and I would tell you how excited I was that I was leaving the country tomorrow!  However, This is no longer the case.   Let me give you all the "low-down". Last weekend, Friday, Feb 11, I had to leave my kindergarten class because I was not feeling well.  I went to the doctors and the doctor ran some blood tests, which all came back very clean.  On Sunday, Feb 13, I got a pretty bad fever and decided I needed to go in tomorrow to the doctors.  I went to a different doctor, and he ran some more blood work on me to see if I had Mono.  And it came back positive.  What the heck!?  So I had to call a bunch of people in my program to let them know of my situation and how I was going to make up the school I was about to miss.  They all agreed that I needed to miss the last week of student teaching so I could be better for New Zealand.  I could barely move all week because I was so sick.  My sister and brother did a lot for me.  Made me meals, packed up my house to move home, etc. they are the best.  Finally a week later, friday feb. 18 My sister and I came back home to so. utah, on the way home I thought that I had better get another doctor's appt just incase to check my vitals and make sure nothing else is wrong.  Well, I must have been inspired or something because I had more blood work done and the blood work did not report back pretty things.  It said that of course I have mono, and I have Jaundice (Which we already figured.  My skin and eyes are crazy yellow.) (gross).  But the blood work was suggesting that my gallbladder was infected, or something was wrong with it, and then my liver was of course not doing well (Hence Jaundice) and then also my Billy-Reuban Count in my blood (Whatever that is) was also going up.  The doc told me to take it easy this weekend and to come back in on president's day to get more blood work done to see if I am able to leave the country.  I was POSITIVE that the blood work was going to clear on monday, especially because I had multiple priesthood blessings, people were praying and fasting...etc.  Of course things were going to work out.  But on monday, I got a call from the doctor saying that my count has gone up and would suggest me not leaving the country.  Big shock, right?  I thought so too.  I have cried my tears over it, but it is weird because I do feel "at peace", if you will, about the decision.  I am so overly disappointed about not going.  It was once in a lifetime thing!  But maybe I'll get another chance, someday.  I am making many-a-phone calls today, trying to cancel my plane ticket, and get my money back.  There are a lot of high up people in the department of Elementary Education and Study Abroad Office that are going to be  only talking about me this morning, trying to figure out my situation.  I am so disappointed.  But it is okay.

several things

1. jake left on his mission about earlier this week!  I bawled my eyes out.  I am going to miss that kid.  But he is honestly going to do so well.  Weird that he is gone. I don't like it at all.  But I suppose that if he were to come home, we would be like, what the heal kid?  This is a pic of the last time I saw him.  Which was about two weeks ago.

Gosh he is a good looking kid.

2.  When I went down to htown, for Jake's farewell, (which was amazing).  I decided to embrace my country side and rode at the ranch for a cattle drive.  When I was younger I hated these kinds of things, and the reason?  Because I had to get up early.  I love my sleep.  But this time riding, I honestly had the greatest of times.  My cousin brought out a friend and he, somehow, got lost and so my uncles were riding all over trying to find him! And so while they were out riding everywhere and anywhere, we herded the cattle back to the ranch house.  It was Trinity, Jake, me and some of my other cousins.  Trinity and I were the oldest ones. We laughed and talked the entire time.  I really liked going!  Here are some pictures of that day.

These are quite in random order, but you can see that do I do anything other than get on my horse and ride?  Nope, my brothers did everything for me, get my horse ready, tell me what to do, and take my horse's saddle off.  They are so good to me.  My horse's name was Smokey.  We have had him for years.  We go way back.

3.  Over the Christmas Break, my family went to the St. George temple lights.  I love that temple.  some pics of the event!
The temple!  I was pretty please how this pic turned out.  I took it with my new camera I got for Christmas/Graduation present.

My siblings that were there, minus jake and myself

Mom and Dad, aka the best parentals in the world

Jake and I in the Visitor Center!

4.  Some pretty neat people in my life. My niece and nephew!  They are the cutest.
Marek, on our long drive to Logan from htown, what a trooper he is!

My little sister, who is the most tenderhearted girl I know, and Mylah, a crazy little girl.
So I went over to My bro and sis n law's house and Mylah showed her new artwork to us!  Tasha was SO happy.
On the wall.  In permanent marker. Nice.  It was about two feet tall.

4.  I just had to put this up here.  It is a little heart breaking to show you this.  But it has to be done.  My little sis, Summer is so beautiful.  I aspire to have her looks and her hair one day!
